Team
JENNIFER DALY
jobs: driver, writer, codriver
Kelowna, BC Canada
zodiac: aquarius
non-rally sparetime: astronomy, visual art, amateur orchid enthuasiast
Jennifer’s interest in rally grew while watching WRC on TV as a humanities student back east. After years of education in Ontario, she graduated, went on vacation and moved west. While traveling in the UK in 2004 she attended a rally school where she met rallyists from Africa and Europe, rode in her first caged car, and became permanently hooked on rallying. Upon her return she hit the backroads of BC and began volunteering at RallyBC events where she met August, and started to consider Alcan 2008. Lucky enough to have opportunities as both a driver and a codriver, she is the versatile link in the team, and aims to be effective in either seat. She brings persistence, enthusiasm and cookie baking skills to Sirius Racing.
GORDON RYALL
jobs: driver, mechanic, codriver
Squamish, BC Canada
zodiac: cancer
non-rally sparetime: dirtbiking, astronomy
While growing up in BC Gord honed his driving skills on the lower mainland logging roads, laying waste to many Hondas in his pursuit of driving excellence. As a Whistler resident and mechanic for many years Gord solidified a passion for snow sports and a loathing for rusted out vehicles. Initially an avid motoX racer and mountain biker, he has upgraded to four wheeled toys and he is pursuing stage rally driving. Currently working as lead technician and service chief for Rocket Rally, he fields calls for emergency automotive help from friends all over the province at all hours of the day and night. Gord knows how to make cars fast and nearly invincible; he has a particular fondness for the Subaru Legacy. His patience, knowledge and experience are enormous assets to the Sirius team.
AUGUST USTARE
jobs: codriver, driver, navigation tech, logistics
North Vancouver, BC Canada
zodiac: cancer
non-rally spare time: dragonboating, member of SecondGuess rock band
August is a perennial motorist and adventurer, having explored many corners of the province with many sorts of vehicles. Most of his transportation is all wheel drive but he is comfortable in anything from a helicopter to a dragonboat. August graduated from TSDing as part of a 4wd club into rallysport, developing precise navigation and codriving skills. A HAM radio license and knowledge of remote communications fortify his rally resume. He is extremely active and practical, and a sure bet to keep the team from getting lost and coming to the rescue of those that do. August is logical, clever and adventurous; his interest in the Alcan Rally was the foundation of the Sirius Rally Team.

hi hon this was very enjoyable reading about the rally team. Great web site and lots of fun Love you. Mum
Hey guys, just letting you know that I’ll be adding you to my blog roll today. I’m a big rally fan, so I’m happy to find a local team to follow and support. I’ll be racing autocross this year with VCMC, but would love to get into rallying as well. Any advice on how to get started? Is there a newb friendly rally club around Vancouver that can help? The rallybc site doesn’t tell you much.
